The Archipelago of Fernando de Noronha is completely unlike anywhere else on the Brazilian mainland. Covering 26km2 it consists of 18 islets and dozens of isolated rocks. A tropical paradise, the archipelago is the submerged part of a huge volcanic edifice, the base of which sits 4,000 m below sea level. It is part of a chain of underwater volcanic mountains that stretch out from the Atlantic Ridge to the Brazilian continental platform.

The UNESCO world heritage site, the beaches in Fernando de Noronha are constantly in ranked amongst the most beautiful in the world. It is a true paradise.
